RawFeed collects only what we need to run a small reading and writing service. This policy describes what we store and why.

What we collect

• Email address — sign-in, magic links, account recovery
• Pen name — displayed on your published stories
• Settings — theme, reading preferences, content comfort level
• Engagement — likes you give, stories you save, read progress
• Stories you write — full text, tags, content rating, moderation metadata
• Session cookies — httpOnly cookie to keep you signed in
• Guest preferences — content comfort stored in your browser (localStorage)

What we do not collect

• Real names (unless you put one in a story)
• Photos or uploads — RawFeed is text-only
• Precise location
• Advertising identifiers (no ad network in v1)

How we use data

To authenticate you, personalize the room (themes, feed layout), show your likes and saves, resume reading, moderate submissions, and operate the service securely.

Moderation

Submitted stories are scanned by automated tools and reviewed by a human before publication. Moderation scores and notes may be stored with the story record.

Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We use infrastructure providers (hosting, email, database) who process data on our behalf. Published stories and pen names are public by design.

Retention

We keep account data while your account exists. Read progress may be pruned after inactivity. Rejected submissions may be retained for moderation records.

Your rights

You may request access, correction, or deletion of your account data by emailing [email protected]. We will respond within a reasonable time. If you are in the EU/EEA, you may have additional rights under GDPR.

Cookies

The session cookie is essential for sign-in. Guest content-comfort preference uses localStorage in your browser — you can clear it in browser settings.
